There are two main property investment strategies each differing from each other, focusing around the timing of your profits and the benefits of each. These strategies are:
1. Financial gain during the term of the loan; and
2. Capital growth.
Investing for the purpose of generating rental income would require your rental income to exceed your costs, resulting in a small return on your investment each week. That is, you make a financial gain as the loan term progresses. Conversely, if your rental income is less than your loan repayments you will receive a tax deduction and a possible capital gain on sale.
